The Main Line’s first medical marijuana dispensary is all set to begin offering medical marijuana products to patients in the Philadelphia region, as its grand opening will be held Saturday, Feb. 17.
Keystone Shops, located at 420 W. Lancaster Ave. In Devon, will officially open at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Patients seeking their medical marijuana do not need appointments on opening day, according to the dispensary website. All patients who come to the dispensary Saturday will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
Patients must have their medical marijuana card with a valid issue date. Cards with issue dates later than Feb. 17 will not be accepted.
The Main Line dispensary was given one of 27 permits granted by the Pennsylvania Department of Health in June 2017 and was also given approval by Easttown Township officials in June.
Earlier in 2018, the dispensary was given the OK to open from the Department of Health, making it the fourth dispensary given the green light.
Patients who want to access medical marijuana must obtain a physician’s certification from an approved doctor proving that they suffer from one of 17 serious medical conditions.
A registration process is then required for patients to receive a medical marijuana card, allowing them access to state-licensed dispensaries.

The state’s medical marijuana program was signed into law in April 2016.
Four other dispensaries in the state – in Butler, Pittsburgh, Bethlehem, and Enola – opened on Feb. 15 and Feb. 16.
A dispensary in Sellersville is also set to open Saturday.
